In this article we would like to talk about our collection Dreams of Cartagena" as part of the "Jewels of the Region of Murcia". A collection where the colour blue predominates in each piece, making reference to the coastline that surrounds the port city.
The pieces are mounted in white gold, choosing diamonds of the highest quality and coloured gemstones such as London Blue topaz.
Founded in 227 BC, Cartagena was a Roman, Visigoth and Byzantine city, and later became one of the main ports of the Kingdom of Castile under the Catholic Monarchs.
This collection also consists of a ring set in 18K white gold and a central diamond surrounded by three Ceylon sapphires.
We would also like to highlight the great bond that unites us with the city of Cartagena. having realised the heart of the Blessed Virgin of Charity, patron saint of the city. This work was made by Don Diego Blasco years ago for the Carrera jewellers.
It is a gold piece, set with different gems that were donated by the city, becoming a gift to their patron saint.
His exhibition can be seen every year in the procession of the Friday of Sorrows, considered the Great Day of Cartagena.
