As he sang Celia Cruz: "Life is a Carnival and sorrows are sung away".
Surely you know some of the most popular carnivals around the world, such as Venice, Rio de Janeiro, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Cádiz and the Carnivals of Águilas (how can you miss the ones in our country!).
Although its origin is difficult to place in an exact point in space and time, experts claim that, at the very least, the first Carnival dates back to more than 5,000 years ago! It could have been during the Roman Empire with the Saturnales, or in Ancient Greece with its festivities in honour of Dionysus.
Historians explain that the traditional colours attributed to the Carnival reflect a wise why: the purple (justice), gold (power) and green (faith). Therefore, from Blasco Joyero we suggest you to decorate your attire and costumes with accessories made in gold with amethysts, yellow topaz and/or emeralds.
- The Amethyst belongs to the quartz family and is a stone characterised by its vivid violet/purple colour (depending on the amount of iron present in its composition). It is said to possess protective powersblocking all negative energy.

In Blasco Jeweller we have a wide catalogue of high jewellery pieces with this gemstone as the protagonist, from rings to earrings or pendants:

- The yellow topazLike the amethyst, it attracts the good vibes and positivity. As well as being regarded as the gem of candour and truth, it is also recognised as '....lucky stoneIt is a fantastic amulet to carry with you at all times.
