This morning, while reading the newspaper La Verdad, I came across an article on the back page of the paper, where the story of a 76 carat diamond, recently sold in Geneva for 18 million euros, was reported. This fact leads us to think that diamonds continue to be a precious commodity, with a lasting value over time and with the prospect of becoming more valuable as the centuries go by.
Moreover, in this case we are talking about a special cut and a D colour, which is the highest colour on the scale, the whitest, known as the famous River or exceptional white. Just to highlight a small confusion in the article, and that is that its exceptional colour letter D on the GIA scale has nothing to do with its purity, which is the interior of the stone, its "dna", its interior and composition, its possible inclusions.
A diamond can be very white, have a good colour grade, but have a low or poor purity, which is certainly not the case here, but it is worth noting the difference.
We are truly in the presence of an exceptional diamond and a fortunate owner, to have such a marvel.
