The year 2022 is about to end... how quickly time flies!
As is often the case at this time of year, we tend to take stock of everything that has happened to us over the last 365 days. The truth is that we've been on a bit of a strange streak, so let's try to enter 2023 in the best possible way, don't you think? We already know some of the most popular traditions to attract good luck on the last night of the year. One of them is to wear or carry some red complement. So why not a jewel?

The Ruby (from lat. rubens) was not recognised in the corundum group - along with sapphire - until the 1800s. Previously, it was known by the same nomenclature as red spinel and garnet. Rubies are precious gems of a distinctive red colour - the most coveted shade is known as 'pigeon's blood' -, durable and the most resistant (next to sapphire) after the King of all precious stones, the diamond.
